TENNIS:

The Lady Cougs entered Kingco 4A Tennis on Tuesday against the division champs of the last few years, Redmond Mustangs.  This was a great motivator for our girls. While all the matches favored Redmond we demonstrated poise in the face of adversity.

Final score was Redmond 7 Bothell 0

BASEBALL:

After disappointing home losses to Eastlake and Newport where the team did not play particularly well and gave up way too many base runners with walks and errors, the varsity baseball team came back last night with a huge, 13 inning, road win vs Inglemoor.   Sawyer Wickstrom pitched 7 solid innings giving up one run.  Brady Hallen was dominant in 3 innings with 7 strikeouts.   Mason McLaren pitched out of a bases loaded jam with no outs in the 11th inning to keep the game alive.  And Blake Skinner closed out the victory with the winning run-on 2nd base and one out.  Teyton Hardeman had 2 hits and scored a run and Henry Crumbaugh, Wyatt Mickelberry, and Nolan LeDoux each had rbi base hits.  A very exciting night for the Cougs, but not a game for the faint of heart!

GOLF:

Bothell hosted the gracious Mt Si at Redmond Ridge yesterday. BHS scored 348 and Mt Si 220. This was golf, so I'll let you figure it out. Katherine Choi (12) scored a 52 and Georgia Colvin (9) had a rough day but stuck with it and scored a 59. Sofia McCallum (9) and Sam Tuttle (9) had a chilly round and earned some Hi-Chews for personal goals of hitting greens in three or two-putts. Clara Smith (12) had a fun round one-on-one with her opponent and shared some laughs and frustrations. All-in-all, another fun day for BHS Girls Golf. We take on Eastlake at Sahalee tomorrow. More good thoughts for nice weather would be appreciated.

KYLE IORG BREAKS THE SCHOOL RECORD IN JAVELINE WITH A THROW OF 194'2"

The season is young, keep an eye out for more of Kyle's throws.

TENNIS:

The girls' varsity tennis team playing without two starters played a heck of a match against Kamiak yesterday. We talk about using adversity as your advantage. Control what you can control, let go of what you can't. Our theme this week as a team is B, F, S

Body Language, Focus, and self Talk. The girls demonstrated this all throughout the match yesterday. Great fight and composure.

Final score Kamiak 5 Bothell 2

Alannah Sandine played a 2 and half hour match at #1 singles. Great battle, final score was 6-4, 6-7, 4-10

Amy Bian moved to 3-0 on the season with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at #2 singles.

Vivien Zhu moved up one spot to #3 singles and won 6-2, 6-0 to move to 3-0 on the season.

At first dubs we had the team of Sienna Harmon/Maddy Arians. This was the first time they played together and they did an outstanding job. After losing the first 6-7, they played a very tight second set and lost 5-7.

Great team effort. 1% better every day

BASEBALL:

The JVC team traveled to Woodinville and beat those Falcons with a score of 9 to 3.

GOLF:

Bothell Girls Golf put on an even stronger performance yesterday on the windswept chilly hills of Newcastle against Newport. Bothell came in with a 345 (7 shots lower than Monday's match) to Newport's 214. Georgia Colvin (9) hit a 53 to lead our team, with Katherine Choi (12) getting our next best score of 55. The other big highlight was everyone cheerfully surviving the cold and a fat coyote on the first tee. We look forward to hosting Mt Si at home next Monday and visiting Eastlake at Sahalee on Wednesday. Pleas think positive thoughts for warm weather.

FAST PITCH / BASEBALL:

Both JV and Varsity took home a win against Eastlake, baseball did not fare as well, both JV and Varsity lost.
