Flag Football

As a member of the team you are expected to: 

• Be ready  to start practice on time (3:30). Aim to be early so we can get started right away! 
• Treat yourselves, teammates and coaches, with respect. Example: Forgive yourself for making mistakes, fuel your body, do not talk back, no rude comments or bad language etc..
• Train hard every day, give 100% physical and mental effort 100% of the time, no exceptions!

• You will get 3 excused absences (illness, family emergencies, religious holidays, family vacation).  Fourth excused absences will result in sitting out for one game.  Fifth excused absence- you will be dismissed from the team.
• You  will get 2 unexcused absences (failure to notify coach about missing practice, over sleeping and family vacations not approved by head coach). The 3rd unexcused absence- you will be dismissed from the team. 

• In order to be eligible for the game, each athlete must attend a minimum of 10 practices, not missing more than 4 days consecutively within the required 10.
• Players are required to attend practice the day before the game and not have any excused or unexcused absences the day before the game,
• Team members (participating or not) are expected to attend all games  unless otherwise approved by the coach.
• Players are expected to notify the coach TWO days prior to meet day if unable to attend the game.
• Players are expected to arrive to games  in time for warm ups
• Players are expected to be properly fueled, well-rested, and have a focused mindset on game day. 
• Show good sportsmanship to everyone and have a positive attitude. There will be times you will be challenged, a  good athlete will face these challenges with an open mind and positive attitude.

As a member of the team you are expected to: 

• You are a student first and then an athlete.
• Be respectful in class to both your classmates and teacher!
• Athletes are required to maintain a passing grade in 6 out of 7 classes. Raise your bar!
• If you are on academic probation you will be expected to do homework/study during practice time. You can participate in practice once you are released from probation

As a member of the team you are expected to: 

• Know your teammates name and say hello in the hallways
• Avoid Gossip and avoid any negative communication, including through electronics. The coaches and athletic director will decide consequences and discipline. Depending on severity discipline might not be progressive and could result in removal of the team.
• If there is a problem you talk to me or the individual involved, no one else!
• Stay drug and alcohol free, consequence results in being kicked off the team
