Yearbook Senior Portraits and Senior Ads

Senior Portraits and Senior Ads are great opportunities to celebrate your senior’s achievements as they complete their final year here at BHS! Both senior items have the same deadlines. The first deadline is soft, meaning you will still have until the second deadline to officially submit your portrait and/or completed ad. The final deadline is the hard deadline for your portrait and/or ad. No portraits and/or ads will be accepted after the final (hard) deadline.

Deadlines - Senior Portraits AND Senior Ads:

First (Soft) Deadline: Friday, October 31st, 2025 @ 5PM
Final (Hard) Deadline: Friday, November 14th, 2025 @ 5PM

Senior Portraits:

  • You are free to use your own photographer for Senior Portraits. Plan now to ensure enough time for submitting! If no portrait is received by November 14th, we will use your student ID photo taken on campus by Dorian at the beginning of the school year (AKA, your ASB photo).

Portrait Guidelines:

  • We're looking for ONE simple, classic headshot image of your student. The best photos are those with neutral, simple backgrounds with space above the head and shoulders for ample cropping. Ideal images are those taken in a vertical manner with no other people or props in the photo. The higher the resolution, the better. I would recommend at least 300 DPI.

  • Be sure your portrait meets all school dress code guidelines for inclusion in the book. Please expect your portrait to be slightly cropped for formatting purposes. By following the guidelines above, you will reduce your risk of being overcropped.

  • Please only submit ONE Senior Portrait. If you submit more than one portrait, the Yearbook staff will choose one for you.

How To Submit Senior Portrait (please only submit ONE per senior):

Option 1: Submit to Yearbook Snap Website

1. Visit YearbookForever.com and search for "Bothell High School"
2. Enter the code: "bothell" (case sensitive) & select your image file (**not from social media or thumbnails, quality is too low)
3. Check the "this is a portrait" box and enter your senior's information.
4. Enter your information at the bottom, then submit.

Option #2: To Submit to the Yearbook Snap App

1. Download Yearbook SNAP! From Google Play or the Apple Store
2. Search for "Bothell High School" & Enter: "bothell" (case sensitive)
3. Select "Portraits”
4. Enter the name and grade of student
5. Enter your info and submit.

Senior Ads:

  • Interested in building a senior ad for your Senior? These are a nice way to celebrate your Senior’s accomplishments by curating a collage of photos along with an optional written message alongside it. Instructions regarding purchasing ad space and submitting your ad are attached to this email.

  • Important Note: The final (hard) deadline is the submission deadline, not the purchase deadline for ads. Please be sure to purchase ad space with sufficient time to build your senior’s ad by November 14th. The due dates for Senior Ads are the same as Senior Portraits (see above).

Ad Space Pricing:

  • ⅛ page: $55
  • ¼ page: $80
  • ½ page: $120
  • Full page: $200

How Do I Submit My Senior Ad?

  • Please see attached file for screenshot instructions of purchasing and building your ad. We have 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and full-page size options for your senior. It is through Yearbookforever.com as well. Please be sure to include your senior's full name somewhere in the ad. All photos and contents of the photos and written message must be school appropriate (no weapons, drug paraphernalia, no child nudity etc.) and follow school dress code. If there are issues with your ad, you will be contacted and asked to revise by the Yearbook Staff.

If you have any questions, please email bhsyearbookacct@nsd.org and check the Yearbook Website for updates. I would suggest starting to schedule your senior portraits and start collecting photos/drafting a message for your senior ads now. Congratulations Seniors, let’s make this year a good one!

Graduating with Latin Honors

Starting with the Class of 2023, Northshore’s comprehensive high schools adopted the Latin terms to celebrate high-achieving students as follows:

  • Summa Cum Laude (with highest honors): top 5% of GPAs
  • Magna Cum Laude (with high honors): top 6-15% of GPAs
  • Cum Laude (with honors): top 16-30% of GPAs

Graduating seniors will be honored based on GPA as shown above. This new tradition will replace the previous tradition of naming valedictorians and salutatorians. Much like in the past with valedictorians and salutatorians, students receiving Latin honors will be recognized during graduation ceremonies, assemblies, and/or other recognition programs. By refining our recognitions, our high schools are aligning with systems used in higher education while also giving deserved recognition to additional high-achieving students.

Access your unofficial transcript in StudentVUE

If you need an unofficial transcript, which is a record of all high school classes you’ve taken, they are uploaded for you to StudentVUE.  Transcripts are helpful to access when completing college applications.  Look for the documents tab in StudentVUE - it’s there!
