Washington Network for Innovative Careers (WaNIC) is a regional skills center in North East King County that provides advanced-level Career and Technical Education programs based on rigorous academic and industry standards, preparing students for post-secondary education and successful entry into high-skill, high-demand careers and employment.
WaNIC services a consortium of seven school districts in the region northeast of Seattle. WaNIC's consortium has been in partnership for 24 years, and shares Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Member districts include Bellevue, Issaquah, Lake Washington, Mercer Island, Northshore, Riverview and Snoqualmie Valley. As a state-approved interdistrict CTE consortium, WaNIC’s primary mission is to provide quality, diverse, and cost-effective career and technical education for all students through interdistrict cooperation.
Courses available to WaNIC students include the areas of Arts, Media, Communication and Design; Business Management; Natural Resources and Agri-Science; Engineering, Science, and Technology; Health and Human Services; and Information Technology. 2019 WaNIC Summer School Registration is NOW OPEN April 12-21
DATES: July 1 – July 19, 2019 (NO SCHOOL JULY 4-5)
CLASS TIME: 8:00am-3:00pm
DAYS OF WEEK: Monday-Friday
WANIC offers summer courses at various high schools in local districts. These programs are open to students entering grades 9 through 12 in Bellevue, Everett, Issaquah, Lake Washington, Mercer Island, Northshore, Riverview and Snoqualmie Valley School Districts.
Tuition is free. There is a $50 class supply fee; assistance is available for students who qualify for free/reduced lunch.
This one semester class is worth 0.5 high school credits. Credits and grade earned will be posted to the student’s permanent high school transcript.
Students provide their own transportation and lunch.

Applications will be accepted online at wanic.org from April 12-21. Enrollment will be by lottery; rising seniors have first priority. You will be notified by email of your enrollment or waitlist status.
After you receive confirmation of enrollment, the $50 class fee is due by June 1 to hold your spot.

Reminder: District Offices and Schools Closed on Memorial Day
In observance of Memorial Day, all District offices and school buildings will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2019.
As a reminder, the Northshore School District invites students, staff, families and the community to a dedication ceremony for the District’s newly installed Veterans Memorial. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Pop Keeney Stadium.
