Boys JV Tennis took a long bus ride down to Mt Si High School, then kept the bus rolling once we got there to get us a 5-2 Bothell win.

FOOTBALL: (9/8/25)
The JV cougs started off the 2025 campaign last Monday night 9/8 at Meadowdale. We loaded the busses with 14 determined and tenacious players who knew they would likely play every single snap of the game. Defensive backs played linebacker, receivers and tight ends played offensive line for the first time ever, and the quarterback played on every single special teams unit. Any doubt about the toughness, conditioning, and versatility of the team was dismissed swiftly.
After surrendering an early touchdown to the Mavericks, the Cougs put their heads down and went to work. They responded with an offensive barrage both on the ground and through the air. Eli Spaeth played the role of a true bell cow running back, rushing for nearly a hundred yards and a touchdown. Grady Harriman joined the party as well with a rushing TD of his own. In the passing game, Harriman delivered the ball to his playmakers long and short, inside and out. TD receptions by Jaxson Andresen and Rylan Edwards kept the defense on their heels and allowed Khyson Warnock to carve his way in and around the defense to the tune of two touchdowns. Of course none of this would’ve been possible without gritty and savvy play in the trenches. Jack Nash, Owen Rook, Kainan Justin, and Zeal Israel set the tone by controlling the line of scrimmage early and often. Playing a whole game on the O line or D line is impressive enough let alone playing both without subs.
The stifling Cougar defense proved the opening touchdown was a fluke by posing a “gentleman’s shutout,” never letting the opponent score again. Their rushing attack was suffocated by linebackers Aaron Beyene and Carter Thurik, and their passing game was thwarted by Griffin Taylor, Grant Winslow, and the rest of the surrounding cast of the LOB (Legion of Bothell).
Couldn’t be prouder of the heart our guys displayed and the adversity they overcame. After an undefeated 2024, the JV cougs are setting out to repeat that same success.
