BASEBALL:

Varsity baseball completed their non-league schedule last night at home with a 3-2 loss to Lincoln High School of Seattle.  Lincoln will be one of the top 3A teams in the state and is coached by long time Bothell assistant coach Ray Atkinson and Bothell alum Colby Nealy. The Cougars were led by a stellar pitching performance from Trevor Young.  Trevor allowed just one hit and two baserunners over the first five innings and was in total command of the game.  The team fielded the ball cleanly with zero errors but struggled with offensive productivity against very good pitching.   Marcus Davies and Sawyer Wickstrom had the only two hits.  We learned some things about our team during this game and where we need to improve to compete at the top of our Kingco league.  In the end, that was the real goal for this game.

Bothell JV Boys baseball bounced back from early season loss to claim a 13-5 win against Metro League Lincoln Lynx.  The team collected 13 hits with big extra base hits by Drew Marino, Nolan LeDoux and Gus Meyer.  Situational hitting was key to the game as the JV Cougs collected two sacrifice flies by Jarret Tyler and Cam Wallace to pick up key RBI.  The pitching staff of 4 allowed 3 earned runs and recorded 12 strikeouts.  The JV ballers were aggressive on the basepaths while swiping 3 bags.

LACROSSE:

The Bothell Lacrosse team had a phenomenal night playing Shorecrest High School under the lights of BHS. Dominating play from all facets of the field was happening for the Cougars. Bryce Johnson led the scoring with a whopping 7 goals with several assists from Dylan Kynaston, Kaiden Brammer and Ben Aragon. Peter Cecil, Ben Aragon, Tate Rayner, Lucas Szydowski, Kaiden Brammer and Dylan Kynaston each had a goal to help push Bothell past Shorecrest 13-10.
