BHS Welcomes New Principal

BHS Welcomes New Principal

Welcome to Dr. Kimberly Jensen who will serve as the BHS Interim Principal for the 2025-26 school year! Dr. Jensen comes from the Mead School District where she served as the principal for the past three years. Dr. Jensen thoroughly enjoyed her time at Mead High School leading and facilitating all aspects of the high school principalship. She loves the high school culture, watching students graduate and move onto post-secondary options.

Prior to Mead High School, Dr. Jensen served as the principal of ACES High School & Mukilteo Virtual Academy in the Mukilteo School District.  Her administrative career began at Kamiak High School in the Mukilteo School District over nine years ago. Throughout all these experiences, Kimberly has grown professionally and is able to lean into challenging situations. The interim position appealed to Kimberly as another opportunity to work in a comprehensive high school, become part of a rich community full of tradition, support the strong work that is present at BHS, and establish new systems and structures to improve school climate and academic outcomes for students.

Dr. Jensen’s teaching career began in Lake Washington as a secondary classroom teacher in Social Studies and English. She earned degrees from Western Washington University and Seattle Pacific University. Dr. Jensen is excited to be back on the west side with her husband and family.

Welcome Dr. Jensen to Bothell HS!
